जन्म महरुन्नीसा 31 मई 1577 कंधार ,  अफ़ग़ानिस्तान निधन 17 दिसम्बर 1645 (उम्र 68) लाहौर ,  पाकिस्तान समाधि नूर जहाँ का मक़बरा ,  लाहौर जीवनसंगी शेर अफ़्ग़ान ख़ान  ( m. 1594–1607) जहाँगीर  ( m. 1611–1627) संतान लाड़ली बेगम घराना तैमूरी   (शादी द्वारा) पिता मिर्ज़ा ग़ियास बैग़ माता असमत बेगम धर्म इस्लाम प्रारंभिक जीवन सत्रह वर्ष की अवस्था में मेहरुन्निसा का विवाह 'अलीकुली' नामक एक साहसी ईरानी नवयुवक से हुआ था, जिसे जहाँगीर के राज्य काल के प्रारम्भ में शेर अफ़ग़ान की उपाधि और बर्दवान की जागीर दी गई थी। 1607 ई. में जहाँगीर के दूतों ने शेर अफ़ग़ान को एक युद्ध में मार डाला। मेहरुन्निसा को पकड़ कर दिल्ली लाया गया और उसे बादशाह के शाही हरम में भेज दिया गया। यहाँ वह बादशाह  अकबर  की विधवा रानी 'रुकईयाबेगम' की परिचारिका बनी। मेहरुन्निसा को जहाँगीर ने सर्वप्रथम  नौरोज़ त्यौहार  के अवसर पर देखा और उसके सौन्दर्य पर मुग्ध होकर जहाँगीर ने मई, 1611 ई. में उससे विवाह कर लिय...
